The Process

We are growing! And fast! Our interview process looks a bit like this:

1. You apply, we review.

2. If it is a match, we will reach out.

3. Plan for a phone interview or three.

4. Plan for at least one in-person interview.

5. Plan to live-build or train us on something.

6. If you are a good fit, we will present an offer.

All in, it can be 1-3 weeks until an offer is made.

Our team works with organizations large and small to ensure they are focused on making smart decisions – and spending less time preparing the analysis. We work with Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, AWS, Google Cloud, Exasol, Cloudera, and many more tools.

Current Opportunities

Analytics Consultant

Provide direction for our clients. Deliver managed data and analytics content and services.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Help clients develop analytical requirements through prototyping and visualization.
  • Create reporting and data visualization solutions.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and/or tune product performance or deployment issues when required.
  • Support or assist with backlog support and development.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant analytics experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization.
  • Proficiency working in analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake or Power BI.
  • Some technical background including experience leveraging data warehouses, data marts and models.
  • Exceptional customer-facing and presentation skills.

Analytics Trainer

Lead analytics training for our open- and invitation-only training events (travel required, including international).
 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead collaborative in-person and remote trainings with end users.
  • Co-author training content.
  • Support or assist with backlog support and development.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant analytics experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization.
  • Expertise working in analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake or Power BI.
  • At least some experience training end users new skills.
  • Exceptional customer-facing and presentation skills.

Data Scientist

Help our clients by diving deep into data, doing analysis, discovering root causes, and designing long-term solutions to their business problems.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with client stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive complex business solutions.
  • Identify, mine and analyze data from client databases to drive optimization and improvement of business strategies.
  • Design, build and deploy custom data models using statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization.
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement new data models, assess performance and monitor outcomes.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and consult on data gathering best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, ideally in data science, mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering or information management.
  • 2+ years performing data analytics and modeling with advanced languages (i.e. Python, R, SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated results working in complex data environments including the use of simulation and modeling tools (i.e. R, Python, Spark, SQL).
  • Working knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (i.e. clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc) and their real-world advantages or drawbacks.
  • Experience analyzing, evaluating and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (i.e. regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven track record of being able to effectively coordinate across teams.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a passion for learning and mastering new technologies and techniques.

Bonus points if:

  • You know your way around enterprise-level data tools and technologies.
  • You have consulting experience and/or exceptional customer-facing presentation skills.
  • You’ve managed projects and/or client relationships.

Data Engineer

Help support our clients’ technical needs. Solution Architects, Data Stewards, and ETL developers are all encouraged to apply.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architect
    • Develop, construct, test, and maintain complex database architectures in the cloud, including EDWs, data lakes, and reporting data marts.
    • Design and implement streaming, search, and analytics solutions in the cloud.
    • Design and install on-prem or cloud-based infrastructure including networking, virtual machines, containers, and software.
  • Data Stewards
    • Recommend and implement methods to improve data reliability, accessibility, efficiency, and quality in a client’s existing infrastructure.
    • Ensure that the architecture that is in place supports the requirements of data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • ETL Developers
    • Employ sophisticated analytics programs, statistical methods and machine learning to prepare data for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling.
    • Define lift and shift ETL/ELT strategies to migrate on-prem data warehouses to cloud platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Expert experience in one (or more) of the following data domains:
    • Solution Architecture
    • Data Stewardship
    • ETL Developers
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field, ideally in computer science, mathematics or software engineering, or equivalent multi-year industry experience.
  • Experience working with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong technical competency in cloud-based data, architecture, and analytics technologies.
  • Familiarity with common client on-premise legacy EDW and data lake systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven track record of being able to effectively coordinate across teams.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a passion for learning and mastering new technologies and techniques.

Bonus points if:

  • You have consulting experience and/or exceptional customer-facing presentation skills.
  • You’ve managed projects and/or client relationships.
  • You have experience with enterprise-wide data and analytics toolsets, including business-side tools (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Looker).
